Short Term Mission Trips

Short term mission trips provide ministry opportunities to young people in local churches. They create in young people a heart for mission in their local community and elsewhere.

On a mission trip you will get the opportunity to work with church communities in other countries, such as Timor Leste, to build homes and other projects which meet peoples' physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

Through these mission trips Yooralla aims to promote cross cultural understanding and reconciliation by exposing young people to other communities both in Australia and overseas, with our goal being to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people through action, care, love and word.

Timor Leste

Four years after independence and freedom, Timor Leste is one the world's least developed nations.

With the battle of independence won, this improverished country is looking towards rebuilding itself after generations of horror. Many homes and buildings were burnt out during the exit of the former occupiers, and children across the country have been left orphaned by the violence.

July 2006 was the first Yooralla mission to Timor Leste.

Mexico
	'In one week I changed the life of a family. What if I give my whole life to God's service?' Wendy and Alfredo and their 3 small children live in Tijuana, Mexico. They had a desperate need which they shared with a Mexican pastor. Their basic home had been destroyed by fire and they were homeless......
